I´m so happy you like the lamp diy in the previous post! And today I made two new ones. One black with a foot, and one tiny white one.

I made this lamp today and I thought I show you how. Ridiculously easy to make and almost for free. What you need is a cord with a lamp socket, some gold paper, glue, a pair of scissors and an empty toilet paper roll. Start by cutting a piece of the paper in the same size as the paper roll.
/// Jag gjorde denna lampa idag och tänkte visa er hur. Löjligt enkel att göra och nästan helst gratis. Vad du behöver är en lampsladd med sockel, guldfärgat papper, lim, sax och en tom toapappersrulle. Börja med att klippa en bit av guldpapperet lika stor som toapappersrullen.
Glue the paper unto the roll and gently pull the paper roll over the socket. If you want it to hang you are pretty much done, but if you want it to stand, just make a little hole on the bottom of the roll, and place the cord there.
/// Limma fast guldpapperet på rullen och dra den försiktigt över sockeln. Om du vill ha lampan hängande så är du klar nu, men vill du ha den stående så gör ett litet hål längst ner på rullen så att du kan lägga sladden där.
I thought it was time for a diy for the teenager (or the grown ups!) in the family. Here I used brads and..

Start by removing the “legs”. If you´re having problems removing the little piece closest to the brad, you can use a rasp.

Put a small dot of superglue on the back off the brad and attach it to the ring. And you´re done!

Make a figure like this using these measurements. You can leave the pencil lines for now. It makes it easier to fold later on

Cut where the brown lines are /// Klipp där de bruna strecken finns.
Fold all the remaining lines (the ones you did with the pencil)

Put some glue on the corner piece and fold it towards you /// Limma hörnbiten och vik in den, mot dig
Glue the remaining corners /// Limma de andra tre hörnen.
Make two more pieces. 11cmx4,5cm with a fold allowance of about half a cm. Then fold it.

Glue the new pieces onto the box. /// Limma fast de nya bitarna på lådan.
And you are pretty much done. If you want something to keep the box closed, you can use a piece of elastic band. Good luck!
